Windsor Terrace Rep. Yvette Clarke Re-Activates Public Events Calendar
Rep. Clarke will host an immigration-focused telephone town hall on Feb. 8.

WINDSOR TERRACE, BROOKLYN — Brooklyn Congresswoman Yvette Clarke has re-activated her public events calendar, just days after Patch reported that the website hadn't been updated since November 2014. Clarke's district includes Windsor Terrace.
Clarke attended three events on Sunday, according to the calendar, including one focused on President Donald Trump's recent executive actions on immigration, which led to numerous detentions at John F. Kennedy International Airport over the weekend. Among those held were the elderly mother of a U.S. soldier and the parents of a Stony Brook University student.
Spokesman Patrick Rheaume also said Clarke will host a telephone town hall at p.m. on Feb. 8 focused on immigration issues, though more information was not immediately available.

Clarke, a vocal critic of Trump, recently told Patch that she wants to "organize my constituents" in opposition to the president using town hall meetings, email blasts, and other tools.
The congresswoman has kept up her criticism of Trump's policies on both her Twitter account and in person. This Sunday, she described Trump's administration as a "fascist presidential regime," adding that his immigration order "is contrary to every value that we hold dear and an attack on decency itself." (Clarke's remarks are included in the video below. )
