Bus Crash With Multiple Injuries Closes Lanes On I-85
Two southbound lanes of Interstate 85 shut down near West Sugar Creek Road Thursday morning after an accident involving a bus.
CHARLOTTE, NC β Two southbound lanes of Interstate 85 shut down near West Sugar Creek Road early Thursday morning after an accident involving a bus led to numerous injuries, according to reports.
At least 13 people were transported by medic away from the scene, including one person with serious injuries, according to Fox 46. The remaining 12 had non life-threatening injuries, the station said.
The crash occurred around 7 a.m., and was "a chain reaction collision," according to WBTV, which said it was a charter bus from New York.
