10 Hospitalized After I-77 Crash In Southeast Charlotte
I-77 southbound lanes were shut down for an hour following the predawn crash that sent 10 people to area hospitals, according to reports.
CHARLOTTE, NC — A predawn crash on Interstate 77 in southeast Charlotte Thursday morning sent 10 people to area hospitals with injuries, according to reports.
The incident involving at least two vehicles occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-77, near Westinghouse Boulevard, WBTV reported. Traffic was closed in those lanes for about an hour.
Eight of the injured were transported to Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center Main, and two people were transported to Novant Main, the station said.
