$25 Vaccination Incentive Program Expands In Charlotte Metro

NC's $25 cash card incentive program for those getting first doses of vaccine has expanded. Here's where to get it in the Charlotte area.

NORTH CAROLINA β€” North Carolina's incentive program offering residents a $25 cash card as incentive for COVID-19 vaccinations expanded this week in the Charlotte metro and throughout the state, according to North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

The $25 Summer Cash Card program is designed to offset the time and transportation costs associated with getting a first dose of vaccine. Anyone 18 and older who gets their first dose of vaccine or anyone who drives someone to their vaccination appointment is eligible to receive a $25 cash card.

News of this week's expansion of the incentive program to 44 counties in the state comes after DHHS conducted a limited test in late May, which officials said was successful.
