Bank Of America Stadium To Kick Off NFL Season At Full Capacity

Here's what spectators attending Carolina Panthers games can look forward to during the upcoming football season.

CHARLOTTE, NC β€” The Carolina Panthers can look forward to playing before a packed stadium this season. Bank of America Stadium announced Monday it would open for the upcoming 2021 Panthers season at full capacity, and won't require masks or proof of vaccination for spectators.

The news comes less than two weeks after North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper announced that all mandatory capacity and gathering limits, and all social distancing requirements in the state were lifted "effective immediately."

Here's what Bank of America Stadium said of the upcoming 2021 policies:

  • Bank of America Stadium will open at full capacity for the 2021 Carolina Panthers season as well as for other events.
  • Masks are not required.
  • Proof of vaccination is not required.
  • Temperature checks are not required.
  • The stadium will continue to have enhanced cleaning, including disinfecting robots.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the stadium.
  • Mobile ticketing will remain to held fans enter the stadium more efficiently.

The 2021 Carolina Panthers schedule features eight home games and nine away games, including six divisional contests and other intriguing matchups. The Carolina Panthers are scheduled to play the New York Jets in Week One at Bank of America Stadium at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12.
