Belk Bowl Welcomes Virginia Tech Hokies, Kentucky Wildcats

CHARLOTTE, NC — Virginia Tech and the University of Kentucky will square off in the 2019 Belk Bowl Dec. 31 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The game will be televised on ESPN, and kickoff is a noon.

The Belk Bowl is the only college bowl game in the Carolinas.

The is the 27th straight bowl appearance for Virginia Tech (8-4), which wrapped up the season ranked second in the ACC Coastal Division. The game marks the first Belk Bowl appearance for Kentucky (7-5).

“We are very excited to welcome Virginia Tech and Kentucky to the 2019 Belk Bowl,” Danny Morrison, Belk Bowl Executive Director, said in a statement. “This matchup should make for an exciting, competitive game. Both teams finished the season strong and have passionate and enthusiastic fan bases that should make the 2019 Belk Bowl a tremendous experience.”
