CHARLOTTE, NC — One of the most immediately recognized and widely respected superstars in pop music history, Celine Dion, has announced she will be embarking on her Courage World Tour this fall, including stops in North Carolina.

She will perform at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte on Jan. 21, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. On Feb. 11, 2020, she’ll perform at the PNC Arena in Raleigh.

The multiple award-winning artist made the announcement to a packed house of fans during a special live event at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. Unveiling a short video chronicling the end of her iconic Las Vegas residency, Dion surprised the audience with the news of the Courage World Tour, her first U.S. tour in more than 10 years.

"I'm so grateful to all the fans who have come to see my show in Las Vegas for so many years, and now I get the chance to create a brand new show and bring it to them in North America and around the world," said Dion. "I'm very excited about this tour, and my new album...coming later this year."

The Courage World Tour will kick off Sept. 18 in Quebec City and will make stops in more than 50 cities.

Dion dominated the pop charts in 1990s and has sold almost 250 million albums during her 35-year career. She has earned five Grammy Awards, two Academy Awards, seven American Music Awards and 20 Juno Awards (Canada).

She remains one of the most sought-after recording artists, receiving the Diamond award at the 2004 World Music Awards recognizing her status as the best-selling female artist of all time. In 2016 the Billboard Music Awards presented her with the lifetime achievement Icon Award.
