Charlotte Krispy Kreme To Unveil 24-Hour Doughnut Vending Machine
The new Krispy Kreme location in South End will feature the company's first ever vending machine and also be home to Insomnia Cookies.

CHARLOTTE, NC β Charlotte-area doughnut fans will soon have access to fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts available any time of day. The Winston-Salem-based doughnut chain is opening a new location in South End featuring a sweet-treat dispensing, 24-hour vending machine.
The vending machine is a first for the company, and will serve three-packs of select flavors of fresh doughnuts while supplies last.
The new location at 2116 Hawkins Street, which opens Aug. 25, will also be adjacent to an Insomnia Cookies location. In addition to traditional doughnut menu, the new shop will also offer milkshakes and scoop sandwiches, which Krispy Kreme describes as its "take on the classic ice cream sandwich, featuring Original Glazed Doughnut-infused ice cream, scooped between a sliced doughnut with a combination of toppings and drizzles."

The interior's design will also include a nod to Charlotte with a mural of 72 doughnuts, "each with its own special ode to the Queen City," the company said.
βFrom beautiful artwork inspired by the Queen City and new Doughnut Vending Machine to Insomnia Cookies, we want this shop to be a sweet treat destination and staple in the community," Rhianna Simard, Krispy Kreme District Manager, said in a statement.
