Charlotte’s Pricey Rents Jump Nearly 11% In A Year: Report
If you think rent is expensive in Charlotte, you're not alone. It jumped nearly 11% this past year, according to a new market study.

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Rent in Charlotte, already the priciest in the metro region, has jumped by almost 11 percent in the past year, according to a new study by rental market website Zumper.
If you’re in the market for a two-bedroom rental in Charlotte, it will set you back an average of $1,240 a month, according to Zumper. A one-bedroom option offers little savings, averaging about $1,130 per month -- 10.8 percent higher than this time last year, according to the market analysis.
Twenty miles away in the Lake Norman suburb of Davidson, the rental market is just as expensive as that found in the Queen City. The cheapest rent in the Charlotte metro region can be found in Salisbury, N.C., where a one bedroom rents average $550 per month and a two bedroom $690.
