Charlotte School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

CHARLOTTE, NC — The first day of school in Charlotte is August 27 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Charlotte-Mecklenburg School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

August

• 8/27: First Day of School

September

• 9/3: No School (Holiday)

October

• 10/30: Last Day of Quarter

November

• 11/12: No School (Holiday)
• 11/21: Annual Leave Day
• 11/22-11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/20-12/21: Annual Leave Days
• 12/24-12/31: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year’s Day)
• 1/18: Last Day of Quarter
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

March

• 3/28: Last Day of Quarter

April

• 4/15-4/18: Annual Leave Days
• 4/19: No School (Holiday)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/7: Last Day of School and Last Day of Quarter
