This week, Queen City bike riders can test out two temporary mountain bike trails at the Cordelia Pop-Up Bike Park.

CHARLOTTE, NC β€” Families searching for a biking challenge in the Queen City will have an opportunity to hit two new temporary mountain bike trails this week.

For one week only, the Cordelia Pop-Up Bike Park will offer mountain bike trails for beginner and intermediate riders at Cordelia Park, located at 600 East 24th Street in Charlotte.

The pop-up bike park, which is a collaboration by the Mecklenburg County Public Health, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation, the City of Charlotte and Bike Charlotte, is the first of its kind for Charlotte.

"In addition to testing your bike skills, feedback collected from the one-week project will give Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation information to support future unpaved trails around the County," organizers said.

Unpaved trails are the second most-requested amenity of county residents, according to Bike Charlotte.
