Elton John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour Coming To Charlotte
Pop legend Elton John is performing what he calls his "most spectacular production" yet next year in Charlotte. Here's how to get tickets.
CHARLOTTE, NC β Global iconic pop star Elton John is wrapping up a career spanning decades performing on the road with a stadium performance in Charlotte next year, he announced Wednesday.
John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will kick off in Frankfurt Germany next May, ending with two performances in Los Angeles in November 2022.
He is set to perform at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022. Tickets are set to go on sale for the show on Wednesday, June 30 at 10 a.m. at EltonJohn.com.

An exclusive pre-sale of tickets will be held June 29 for fans who sign up here, the Carolina Panthers said Wednesday.
"I'm going to go out in the biggest possible way, performing at my very best, with the most spectacular production I've ever had, playing in places that have meant so much to me throughout my career," John said in a statement announcing the 2022 tour dates. "Whether it's next summer in Frankfurt or at the legendary Dodger Stadium for the grand finale in the United States, I can't wait to see you all on the road one last time."

Since beginning a songwriting partnership with lyricist Bernie Taupin in 1967, John has spent roughly five decades on the road during a career that has cemented him as a legend of pop and rock. He has sold more than 300 million records, charted 58 songs on the Billboard Top 40 and, between 1970-2000, had a song on the Billboard Top 100 for 31 consecutive years.
He has received five Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and a Tony Award and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. Born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in Middlesex, England, John was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for his charitable work in 1998.
