CHARLOTTE, NC β€” As healthcare workers around the state and nation continue to face the intense pressures of combating the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak, members of the communities, from business owners to families, are stepping up to express gratitude.

One Charlotte area restaurant owner did just that Friday, donating nearly 200 meals of sandwiches and chips in a box with a handwritten note of thanks.

"It is my pleasure to deliver meals to the nurses and doctors who are helping keep our community in good health,” said Tim Goss, who owns Firehouse Subs located at 7211 Waverly Walk Avenue in Charlotte. β€œGiving back is something we prioritize at Firehouse Subs and we are thankful to continue supporting our community during this time of uncertainty.”
