Tweets from North Carolina show the damage caused by Hurricane Florence as it makes landfall just east of Wilmington.β

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Residents and news media from across North Carolina have posted photos and video on Twitter of the destruction of Hurricane Florence, which weakened to a tropical storm Friday afternoon. The storm has brought with it torrential rain and flooding. At least 14 deaths have been linked to Florence since Friday, 11 in North Carolina and three in South Carolina.
