Former President Trump To Speak At NC GOP Meeting Next Month
Former President Trump will headline the NC Republican Party's 2021 convention dinner next month in Greenville.
NORTH CAROLINA β Former President Donald Trump is set to headline the North Carolina Republican Party's 2021 state convention next month in Greenville, the political organization announced Monday.
Trump is set to speak at the convention dinner on Saturday, June 5 at 6 p.m.
"We are honored to welcome President Trump to our convention as the Republican Party launches our campaign to retake Congress and the Senate in the 2022 midterms,β NCGOP Chairman Micale Whatley said in a statement.

The North Carolina appearance marks one of few public appearances made by the former president since leaving office, and comes as Republicans seek to reclaim control of the U.S. House in 2022 midterm elections, WFAE noted.
An NC GOP spokesperson told confirmed to the radio station that the event will be closed to the media and that reporters will not be able to view it via a livestream.
