Frost Advisory This Weekend In NC: Weather Forecast

The Charlotte metro region can expect a brisk morning Saturday, with some areas seeing frost, according to the National Weather Service.

CHARLOTTE, NC β€” It's officially time to pull out layers and jackets. The piedmont of North Carolina will be under a frost advisory Saturday morning, with areas of the state feeling temperatures as low as 36 degrees, the National Weather Service said Friday.

The frost advisory will be in effect from 3 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17.

"Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered," NWS said. "Some sheltered locations could drop down below freezing for a brief period around daybreak on Saturday.

Temperatures will warm during the day, however, and are expected to peak in the mid-60s Saturday and Sunday.
