Gastonia Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting 2 Boys: Reports

He's being held in the Gaston County Jail on a $1 million bond, say media reports.

GASTON COUNTY, NC β€” A Gastonia man is being held in jail on a $1 million bond after being accused of sexually assaulting two young boys, according to media reports. On Friday, police in the town of Ranlo, in Gaston County, charged Sunny Kay Luangpakdy, 31, with two counts of statutory sex offense with a child by an adult and indecent liberties with a child, and single counts of crime against nature and child abuse by sexual act, the Gaston Gazette reported.

In arrest warrants, Ranlo police accused Luangpakdy of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old boy on the week of Thanksgiving, between Nov. 23 and Nov. 30, say media reports.

He's also charged with committing a sex act against a 7-year-old boy, say media reports.

It was unclear Friday how Luangpakdy knew the two boys, the Gaston Gazette reported.He's being held in the Gaston County Jail.
