Groundbreaking at Historic Trenton Mill Lofts in Gastonia Marks Continued Growth in Revitalizing North Carolina’s Downtown Areas

New Project Joins Famed Fayetteville Prince Charles Hotel, Pier 33 in Wilmington and VIDA Kannapolis in State’s Construction Boom

Gastonia, N.C. (October 30, 2020) – Kaufman Lynn Construction broke ground today for the Trenton Mill Lofts, located at 612 West Main Avenue in the heart of Gastonia’s Franklin Urban Sports and Entertainment (FUSE) District. Trenton Mill Lofts will serve the rising number of North Carolinians choosing to live in smaller cities like Gastonia, considered a vital corridor for commuters to the Charlotte metropolitan area.

Built in 1897, the historic Trenton Mill was Gastonia’s second textile factory and the oldest still standing. Scheduled for completion by the end of 2021, the new Trenton Mill Lofts will comprise 82,000-square-feet with 89 residential units and surface parking. LMG Group is the developer of Trenton Mill Lofts and RAM will be the property manager.
