Harris Teeter, Food Lion: Charlotte July 4th Grocery Store Hours

See which Charlotte grocery stores will be open, and which ones will be closed, on the 4th of July.

CHARLOTTE, NC β€” As plans for 4th of July celebrations ramp up, trips to the grocery stores in Charlotte are already being made. Food Lion, Harris Teeter and Walmart are among the places nearby that have stocked up for the holiday celebrating America’s independence.

But it’s almost inevitable that a supply of condiments, hot dogs, potato chips and other 4th of July classics will be forgotten on the day. Luckily for last-minute shoppers, the majority of grocery stores will still be open to help out.

Here are the grocery stores that will be open on the Fourth of July in the Charlotte metro, along with a couple that won’t.

Some grocery stores are still operating under face covering guidelines as the coronavirus pandemic continues into its second summer, so make sure to double-check with your neighborhood location before going into a store without a mask.

What’s Open:
ALDI: ALDI will be open but will have limited holiday hours for the day. Store hours on Sunday, July 4 are 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

BJ’s: BJ’s will remain open, but check with your local store for possible adjusted hours.

Dollar General: Dollar General is open on the 4th of July, but check with your local store for possible adjusted hours.

Food Lion: Most Food Lion locations are expected to be open during regular hours.

Harris Teeter: Most Harris Teeter locations are expected to be open during their regular hours.

Publix: Most Publix locations are expected to be open during regular hours.

Sam’s Club: Sam’s Club locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for Plus members, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for club members.

Target: Target locations are open. Store hours will depend on your neighborhood location.

Trader Joe’s: Stores will close early, at 5 p.m., on the 4th of July.

Walmart: Walmart stores will be open during regular local hours on Independence Day.
