CHARLOTTE, NC β€” A student at Zebulon B. Vance High School in north Charlotte was caught with a loaded handgun and drugs after his behavior prompted a search by school security, according to reports.

The Sept. 18 discovery made at Vance High School, located at 7600 IBM Drive in Charlotte, began when a student β€œwas not following procedure,” which prompted the search, school officials told parents Tuesday.
