Mobile Vaccination Event Set For Saturday In Renaissance Park

No appointment is needed and shots are free at the mobile vaccination event in southwest Charlotte Saturday.

CHARLOTTE, NC β€” Free COVID vaccinations will be administered this weekend at a mobile event in southwest Charlotte, Mecklenburg County officials announced.

The ONE Charlotte Health Alliance mobile vaccination event will take place at Renaissance Park, located at 1536 W. Tyvola Road in Charlotte from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 19. No appointment is needed, organizers said.

The clinic is for first-dose vaccinations, with the second doses administered Saturday, July 10.

"ONE Charlotte Health Alliance partners Atrium Health, Novant Health and Mecklenburg County Public Health are teaming up with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) to provide more vaccine access points to ensure vaccine equity in communities deeply impacted by COVID-19 in the Charlotte area," the alliance said.

Community organizations may request a mobile vaccination unit for an event if they are non-profit, the event is located in a priority zip code, the event is free to the public and at least 25 people are registered to attend.
