The Daily Meal recently released its ranking of the best food trucks by state. Here's which NC city they said has the best eats on wheels.

NORTH CAROLINA β€” Food trucks are a fun, different option from the classic night out at a restaurant. There’s a simple satisfaction from having the meal brought to you, and many trucks offer tasty alternatives to normal cuisine.

The Daily Meal recently released its list of β€œThe Best Food Truck in Every State” and a Boone, North Carolina food truck took home the top spot in our state.

The food blog considered more than 20,000 trucks throughout the United States and scanned countless reviews from sites such as Yelp, Twitter and Instagram.

β€œIf traditional restaurants are like full-length novels, then food trucks are novellas β€” concentrated and poignant,” researchers from the Daily Meal said. β€œThe most successful operations boil a specific type of cuisine down to a handful of signature, crowd-pleasing dishes.”

At the end of the process, Boone’s own Farm to Flame was named the top food truck in North Carolina.

Here’s what The Daily Meal said about Farm to Flame:

Usually found at Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Farm to Flame uses locally sourced ingredients to turn out some spectacular and creative pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven. Your classic 3 Cheese (mozzarella, Romano, and parmesan) and Italian (with pepperoni, salami and Italian sausage) are rounded out with the Veg Out (topped with a wide variety of veggies), the Buffalo Soldier (with chicken, bacon, red onion, Buffalo sauce and ranch or blue cheese) and the The Shitchyeah (with chicken, bacon, pineapple, ricotta and habanero barbecue sauce). Be sure you start with some homemade pimento cheese.

Farm to Flame is located at Appalachian Mountain Brewery, located at 163 Boone Creek Drive in Boone.
