Road Rage Suspect Shot Windows Of Another Vehicle On 485: Police
The victim said the suspect was driving a white Toyota 4Runner and shot at his vehicle windows with a handgun, police said.
CHARLOTTE, NC β A search is underway for a suspect who fired a handgun at another driver southeast of Charlotte Tuesday in an incident police say was a road rage shooting.
The shooting occurred shortly before noon on the Interstate 485 Outer Loop between Providence Road and East John Street, near Exit 51-A, according to Matthews Police Department.
The victim told responding officers that he was traveling in the outer loop when a man pulled up alongside his vehicle and began shooting, shattering the windows of his vehicle.

"The victim was evaluated by Medic on scene for minor injured due to the glass breakage," MPD said. "The preliminary investigation of this case indicates that this stemmed from an incident of road rage."
The suspect is described as a clean shaven white male with reddish hair between the ages of 30-40 years old. He is possibly driving a white Toyota 4Runner with a North Carolina license plate.
