CHARLOTTE, NC β€” Charlotte police are asking for the public's help locating a suspect they say shot three people midday in a west Charlotte neighborhood Thursday. Two of the victims are fighting for their lives, police said.

The incident occurred shortly before 2 p.m. in the 200 block of Hoskins Mill Lane.

According to a report by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, officers found three victims with gunshot wounds when they responded to the scene. Two of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries and were transported to Atrium Main hospital for treatment.

The third victim's injuries were not life-threatening, CMPD said.

Thursday afternoon, CMPD released a photo of a man they say is wanted in the investigation.

CMPD said anyone with information about the suspect's identity is asked to call 9-1-1, or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
