Search On For Woman Wanted In Charlotte Wells Fargo Bank Heist

CHARLOTTE, NC β€” Police are asking for the community's help identifying a woman they say is wanted for her involvement in an armed robbery at a Wells Fargo bank in southeast Charlotte Tuesday evening.

According to a police account, the unidentified woman entered the bank branch located at 2821 Pineville-Matthews Road around 5:20 p.m.

"When she approached the counter, she passed a threatening note to the teller and then left the building with property belonging to the bank," Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said in a statement.

CMPD said anyone with information about the suspect's identity is asked to call 911, or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
