Severe Weather Expected This Week In Charlotte Metro: Forecast
Damaging winds, hail and an isolated tornado are possible during the weather event expected Thursday, according to NWS.
CHARLOTTE, NC β Severe weather expected in Mecklenburg County later this week could lead to possible damaging winds, large hail and an isolated tornado, the National Weather Service said Monday.
The hazardous weather outlook includes the North Carolina mountains and area throughout the Charlotte metro region.
Rain is expected throughout the week, beginning Monday evening, according to NWS. By Friday, however, sunshine will return to usher in a weekend with partly sunny skies and highs in the high 50s.

Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Rain, mainly after 1am. Low around 41. East northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Rain, mainly before 1pm. Patchy fog before noon. High near 50. Northeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
