Silver Alert Canceled: Missing 75-Year-Old Man Found

CHARLOTTE, NC β€” A silver alert for a missing 75-year-old man with cognitive issues who was reported missing has been canceled after he was located and reunited with his family, police said Tuesday morning.

The alert was issued Monday morning for John Michael Wildey, who was last seen on Front Porch Avenue in Charlotte shortly before 5 a.m. as he was getting into a tan 2016 Subaru Outback.

The Subaru has Indiana tag BNQ310 and the rear of the vehicle has several bumper stickers displayed, police said.

He was last known to be wearing a blue and while button-down shirt, blue jeans and brown shoes. He is described as having gray hair with a full beard and mustache.

"Wildey suffers from cognitive issues, and his family is concerned about his welfare," CMPD said.
