Students Raise $1,000 to Benefit Local Foster Care Children

Students in Denver raised funds to purchase duffel bags and essential items for children in foster care

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Denver recently raised more than $1,000 to benefit local foster care children through Together We Rise’s Sweet Cases program. Students created nearly 70 “Sweet Cases” by decorating duffel bags and filling them with personal items, including a teddy bear, coloring book, crayons, hygiene kit and blanket. Students donated the Sweet Cases to Elon Homes in Charlotte and to the Department of Social Services in Lincoln County. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping children in need in their community.
