Tips Lead Police To Woman Wanted In Bank Robbery Case: CMPD
Charlotte police said they have charged a 27-year-old woman for the July 6 robbery of a southeast Charlotte Wells Fargo bank.
CHARLOTTE, NC β Charlotte police have arrested a 27-year-old woman they say is responsible for an armed robbery at a Wells Fargo bank in southeast Charlotte Tuesday evening.
Community tips led police to identify the suspect as Ariel Anderson, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said. Wednesday, a warrant for common law robbery was issued for Anderson's arrest.
According to a police account, Anderson entered the bank branch located at 2821 Pineville-Matthews Road around 5:20 p.m.

"When she approached the counter, she passed a threatening note to the teller and then left the building with property belonging to the bank," CMPD said in a statement.
Following her arrest, Anderson was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office, CMPD said.
