TRAFFIC ALERT: Fatal Wreck Shuts Down W.T. Harris Blvd.

CHARLOTTE, NC — A fatal wreck along W.T. Harris Boulevard between Sugar Creek and Old Statesville roads has left one dead and several people injured, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

Traffic along the north Charlotte thoroughfare is shut down as police conduct an accident investigation. Drivers are advised to find an alternate route, CMPD said.

One person, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead on the scene, and multiple people were taken to an area hospital by Medic, CMPD said.
