Tropical Storm Eta: Here's What Storm Will Mean For NC
While Eta's final path still remains uncertain, forecasters say this will be a soggy week for much of the state.
NORTH CAROLINA β As Tropical Storm Eta brewed off the coast of southern Florida Monday morning, North Carolina braced for a round of storms and heavy rain across the state later in the week.
"Eta will remain far to our south for much of the week, but moisture from the system will spread northward," North Carolina Emergency Management said Monday, adding that at present, there was "very low confidence" in the long-term forecast. "Their path will determine how much dry weather we see Friday and Saturday."
Monday morning, the storm was dumping heavy rain on portions of Cuba, the Bahamas and southern and central Florida.
