What's Open, Closed For 2021 Easter Holiday In Charlotte
Some city and county services will be closed this week. Here's a list.
CHARLOTTE, NC β Easter will be celebrated later this week, which means many services in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County will be affected.
Some Charlotte-area services are closed for Good Friday (April 2) and Easter Sunday (April 4). Here are the openings and closings to know for both days:
City of Charlotte: Closed Friday, April 2

U.S. Post Office: Open Friday, April 2
State Offices: Closed Friday, April 2

Mecklenburg County Offices and Services: Closed Friday, April 2
Department of Social Services: Closed Friday, April 2
Mecklenburg County Tax Office: Closed Friday, April 2
Mecklenburg County Elections Office: Closed Friday, April 2
Mecklenburg County Register of Deeds Office: Closed Friday, April 2
Land Use and Environmental Services Agency: Closed Friday, April 2
Mecklenburg County Health Department: Closed Friday, April 2
Charlotte Mecklenburg Library: all library locations will be Closed Friday, April 2
Solid Waste centers: Open with regular hours on Friday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3
Recreation Centers, Senior Centers, Nature Centers and indoor Rental Facilities: Closed Friday, April 2
The Aquatic Center: Closed Friday, April 2 through Sunday, April 4
Parks, Nature Preserves and Greenways: Open
CharMeck 311: Closed Friday, April 2. Outside regular business hours, CharMeck 311 callers can report water, sewer, storm water and animal issues via an automated service that dispatches assistance. Residents can also submit service requests online 24 hours a day or access dozens of city services by downloading the CLT+ mobile app. Please call 911 for any emergencies.
