Wintry Weather Expected To Impact Charlotte Metro: Forecast
Wintry precipitation and chilly temperatures will likely impact the Friday morning commute, forecasters said Thursday.
CHARLOTTE, NC β A storm system moving into the region will likely bring with it wintry precipitation throughout the Charlotte metro region, the National Weather Service said Thursday.
"Chilly temperatures across the region could support wintry precipitation as far south as the Interstate 85 corridor," NWS said in a hazardous weather outlook bulletin. "Uncertainty is high with this system, but there is the potential for some impact from wintry weather on late tonight."
The weather system, which is expected to dump up to 8 inches of snow across the North Carolina mountains, will likely affect Friday morning commutes in the Charlotte metro, forecasters warned.
