2021 Cornelius Outdoor Cinema Headed To Legion Park: Details

CORNELIUS, NC — The weather is warming up, which means it's a perfect time to plan a family movie night under the stars. The Town of Cornelius' summer outdoor cinema series kicks off Saturday, May 15 with a screening of "Trolls World Tour" at Legion Park.

The Outdoor Cinema Series is sponsored by the Town of Cornelius and brings popular family-friendly movies to town parks throughout the summer. "The Secret Life of Pets 2" will be shown on Saturday, June 26.

Legion Park is located at 21214 Legion Street in Cornelius.

Here's what the Town of Cornelius says about the movie series:

• Gates opens at 6:30 p.m.
• The movie will begin shortly after dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.)
• Pre-registration is required, and may be done here.
• Tickets are free.
• Concessions, including food and local beer, will be available for purchase.
• There is no designated parking lot for this event. Please use safe, legal, on-street parking and remember to be mindful of residents’ yards and driveways.
• No pets, glass bottles, tobacco products, smoking or e-cigs allowed.
• Face coverings are no longer required when outdoors but are recommended when 6-ft distancing cannot be maintained.
• Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets!
