8 Arrests Made In Cornelius: Crime Reported Around Town
Eight people were arrested recently in Cornelius, including a woman charged with sex act with a student, according to the police blotter.
CORNELIUS, NC — CPD arrested eight people last week including a woman accused of statutory rape of a child under 15 and sex acts with a student and a man charged with felony indecent liberties with a child, according to the police blotter.
Two home break-ins were also reported in Cornelius last week.
Cornelius Police Department made the following arrests between May 12 - May 18, 2021:

- Logan Bradley Haire, 29, arrested May 13 on West Catawba Avenue, charged with driving while impaired
- Megan Danielle Lafftery, 25, was arrested May 14 on Interstate 77 at mile marker 28/Catawba Avenue, charged with canceled/revoked/suspended tag, DWLR not impaired
- Steven Chad Hayes, 35, was arrested May 14 on Meadow Crossing Lane, charged with two counts of felony indecent liberties with a child
- Rachel Renn Snedaker, 35, was arrested May 14 on Potts Street at South Main Street, charged with driving while impaired.
- Trevor Wallace Toothman, 24, was arrested May 17 on Magnolia Estates Drive, charged with misdemeanor intoxicated; disruptive and felony malicious conduct by a prisoner; and misdemeanor resisting a public officer
- Kaylee Salene Connor, 26, was arrested May 18 on Statesville Road, charged with misdemeanor assault and battery
- Brianna Harris, 22, was arrested May 18 on Nautique Boulevard, charged with misdemeanor obstructing justice
- Ayana Chabaya Walcott, 27, was arrested May 18 on Nautique Boulevard, charged with five counts of felony first degree kidnapping; five counts of felony sex act with a student; five counts of felony statutory sex offense with a child; five counts of felony statutory rape of a child under 15.
