All-American Dog Show Moves Online This Year In Cornelius

CORNELIUS, NC — For two decades, the Cornelius' All American Dog Show has celebrated the cutest canines in the community. This year, the annual event will be held online.

Here's what organizers have to say about the 20th Virtual All American Dog Show:
"Are you ready for tail-wagging good time? Due to the ongoing pandemic, our extremely popular dog show is going online this year! We invite pet owners to enter their furry friends online into a variety of fun contests. Voting will take place via Facebook, and then an awards ceremony will be shown on Facebook and our YouTube channel."

How To Register
Dogs must be registered by Sept. 10 and may be registered online here. Registration is $10 per dog, and includes entry into two contests, plus the All-Amerian Dog contest.

Additional contests include:

• Best dressed
• Best trick (amateur)
• Best "Puppy Dog" eyes
• Best spots
• Best kisser
• Most ear-resistible ears
• Best coat (natural)
• Most unique tail

Say organizers:
"Once your registration is complete, you must submit your photo(s) and video(s) to parc.events@cornelius.org by Thursday, September 10, at 8 p.m. We cannot accept photos in person at this time. Acceptable picture formats are .jpg, .png, and.gif. Pictures and videos should only feature the pet being entered in the contest(s). Do not share a picture of multiple animals or people. Videos for Best Trick or Best Kisser may show a person. Video submissions should be under 60 seconds. Pictures may not be edited or altered, other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments. Pictures may not be copyrighted. Any image that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene as determined by the Town of Cornelius PARC Department will be removed from the contest."

Order of Events

• Aug. 21 - Sept. 10: Register online and then email your photos and videos to parc.events@cornelius.org
• Sept. 14-20: Photos and videos will be posted to our Facebook page and online voting takes place, by "liking" your favorite entries
• Sept. 23: Winners are notified
• Sept. 26: Winning pets and their people will attend the Awards Ceremony at D9 Brewing
• Oct. 3: The recorded Awards Ceremony will be streamed on our Facebook page and YouTube channel beginning at 4 p.m
