Congratulations, Kiara Busby, Merancas Middle College High School Class Of 2021

CORNELIUS, NC — The high school seniors of 2021 have had an experience like no other in a century — a year upended by a pandemic and by lockdowns that kept them from enjoying many of the activities that previous seniors have taken for granted.

Patch hopes to help make it up to those seniors by giving them a special sendoff. We asked parents and other family members to pay tribute to this year’s grads using a special submission form so we can publish those tributes one by one.

Kiara Busby will graduate from Merancas Middle College High School.

Plans after graduation: Kiara plans to continue her pre-med track this fall at High Point University where she will major in BioChemistry

Accomplishments: Kiara graduated with both her HS Diploma and her Associates of Science in Biological Sciences from CPCC. Kiara is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, NHSHS, NHS, Young Black Leadership Alliance Ambassador, Congress of Future Medical Leaders Ambassador. She is a Presidential Scholar, a Charlotte Post Top Scholar, Natural Science Fellow and an Honors Fellow.
