CPD's Child Seat Check Program Suspended Due To COVID-19

CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius Police Department has temporarily suspended its Child Seat Check program due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it announced.

While the events are canceled, the police department will continue to offer free inspections and installation of car seats by appointment it said, via Facebook.

Said CPD:
"Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have had to temporarily suspend the scheduled dates of our Child Passenger Seat Checking Station. We are glad to announce that we are now offering appointments regarding Child Passenger Seat Checks. If you would like to schedule an appointment with our department, please call us at 704-892-7773 and ask to speak with Sergeant J.J. Sarver. Sergeant Sarver will be able to help you set up an appointment and will also provide further details on how we will be able to safely check child passenger seats."
