Driver Nabbed In Stolen Vehicle: Crime This Week In Cornelius

Five people were arrested and seven cases of larceny were reported this week in Cornelius, according to the police blotter.

CORNELIUS, NC — A 52-year-old man was arrested after police discovered he was driving a stolen vehicle, according to the Cornelius Police Department.

CPD arrested five people last week and also issued eight citations, according to the police blotter.

Cornelius Police Department made the following arrests between May 5 - May 11, 2021:

  • Julian Joseph Gonzales, 42, was arrested May 6 on Jetton Road, charged with felony extradition/fugitive OTH State
  • Alexander Vidal, 52, was arrested May 6 on Catawba Avenue at Meridian Street, charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
  • Woody James Allison, 40, was arrested May 7 on Main Street, charged with failure to report new address, sex offender (felony)
  • Leanne Michelle Cochran, 58, was arrested May 8 on Meridian Street, charged with felony breaking and entering, and felony larceny after breaking and entering.
  • Eric Reed Conklin, 31, was arrested May 10 on Watoga Way, charged with misdemeanor communicating threats and misdemeanor injury to personal property.
