Easter Bunny Coming To Cornelius Neighborhoods: Details
Since Cornelius families are stuck inside their homes, the Easter Bunny is making rounds through neighborhoods this week to say hello.

CORNELIUS, NC — As Cornelius families continue to stay in their homes and practice safe social distancing amid the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak, Easter plans and celebrations will be different this year. In Cornelius, the Easter Bunny and some of his helpers are hopping to it (sorry, we couldn't resist) to bring some holiday cheer to town children.
"Stay safe at home as we bring the Easter Bunny to you!" announced the Cornelius Police Department.
Cornelius Police Department began escorting the Easter Bunny through Cornelius neighborhoods Tuesday, and will continue Wednesday and Thursday, it said.

The bunny sightings are scheduled to occur in different areas of town each day, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Families are encouraged to stay on their lawn as they wave. The Easter Bunny will not be stopping for photos, organizers said.

"Due to the Easter Bunny's busy schedule and to ensure that everyone is able to maintain proper social distancing, the Bunny will receive a police escort so that he can wave to as many kids as possible," CPD said.
