CORNELIUS, NC — The long awaited 2020 General Election is one day away, and Cornelius voters can prepare by checking voter registration status, polling locations, voting hours and more.

Election Day voting begins at 6:30 a.m. in North Carolina. While polls officially close at 7:30 p.m., any voter in line at that time will be allowed to cast their ballot.

Tuesday, Nov. 3 is also the last day to return an absentee mail-in ballot.

Confirming Registration & Sample Ballots
Before heading to the polls, voters can confirm their registration, their local polling site location and also pull up a sample ballot online here through the North Carolina State Board of Elections website.
Mecklenburg County has 243 polling precincts for the general election. In Cornelius, polling site locations include:
