Groundbreaking For New Cornelius Preschool Set For Oct. 1

CORNELIUS, NC — LeafSpring School, a new preschool and childcare provider, will hold a groundbreaking ceremony at its new Cornelius location Oct. 1 at 2 p.m., the school announced.

The school, which is expected to open in late summer 2021, will offer a number of services, including nursery school, preschool, private kindergarten, as well as before and after childcare.

The Cornelius location will also offer an onsite clinic staffed by a licensed nurse, it said.

The new Cornelius facility joins two other Charlotte metro locations. LeafSpring Schools are located in Ballantyne and Matthews, as well as 10 locations in Virginia, Indiana and Texas.

"Our two locations in Charlotte have created a real sense of family inside their schools and we look forward to that spreading north to the Cornelius and Lake Norman areas," LeafSpring Schools CEO, Vance Spilman said in a statement. "We can’t wait for families to see the plans we have for the building and outdoor space. It’s going to be a special place for children.”

LeafSpring School will be located at 18100 Statesville Road in Cornelius.
