Seven people were arrested last week in Cornelius, including one man who was arrested twice, according to the police blotter.
CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius police officers arrested seven people last week including a 28-year-old man who was arrested twice in the span of three days, according to the police blotter.
One person reported a home break-in and five Cornelius businesses reported crimes of larceny or fraud last week.
Officers issued more than 60 citations to drivers last week, including to one driver who was cited with impeding traffic by driving slowly on West Catawba Avenue at Robbins Crescent Drive.

Cornelius Police Department made the following arrests between May 19 - May 25, 2021
- Ameer Rashad Salahudin, 33, was arrested May 19 on Statesville Road, charged with driving while impaired.
- Journey E. Wentz, 28, was arrested May 20 on West Catawba Avenue, charged with felony possession of Schedule I controlled substance; felony probation violation; hit/run failure to stop property damage; no operators license; misdemeanor simple possession Schedule VI controlled substance.
- Ryan Gerard McNichol, 28, was arrested May 21 on West Catawba Avenue at Edinburgh Square, charged with driving while impaired and misdemeanor open container alcohol violation.
- Erin Gabrielle Christiansen, 19, was arrested May 22 at One Norman Boulevard and West Catawba Avenue, charged with misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor possession of stolen goods.
- Lindsay Gates Armstrong, 29, was arrested May 22 on Catawba Avenue, charged with driving while impaired.
- Alex Michael Neyland, 26, was arrested May 24 on Northcross Drive, charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering.
- Ryan Gerard McNichol, 28, was arrested May 24 on Cloverstone Drive, charged with DWLR Impaired Revoked, Expired Registration card/tag
- Trevor Wallace Toothman, 28, was arrested May 24 on West Catawba Avenue, charged with misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
