Live Burn Exercise In Cornelius Prompts Lane Closure Friday
Cornelius residents will likely see smoke near Mayes and Barnhart roads, police said. Here's why.
CORNELIUS, NC — A live burn exercise conducted by Cornelius-Lemley Fire Department in Cornelius Friday will temporarily prompt a lane closure on Mayes Road, police said.
The live burn will be conducted in the 12000 block of Mayes Road, near Barnhart Road. During the exercise, one lane of Mayes Road will be shut down near the intersection, Cornelius Police Department said.
"Please use caution in the area and be aware of the change to see smoke," CPD said.
