Six Arrests Made In Cornelius This Week: Police Blotter

7-Eleven reported two incidents of larceny this past week. Here's a run down of crime reported around Cornelius this week.

CORNELIUS, NC — Police issued more than a dozen speeding tickets and made six arrests in Cornelius this past week, for charges that included larceny of motor vehicle parts, possession of stolen goods and assault on a female, according to the most recent police blotter.

7-Eleven convenience store on West Catawba Avenue reported two thefts in the span of two days, police said. Tuscan House and CVS Pharmacy on West Catawba Avenue also reported larcenies.

Arrests made by Cornelius Police Department between Feb. 10 — Feb. 16, 2021:

  • Jonathan Ashley Rollings, 47, was arrested Feb. 12 on York Hwy, charged with felony larceny of motor vehicle parts
  • Christopher Demarcus Elliott, 30, was arrested on Westmoreland Road at Statesville Road, charged with misdemeanor assault on a female
  • David Lorenzo Sherrill, 32, was arrested Feb. 13 on North Main Street, charged with felony possession of a firearm by felon; and two counts of misdemeanor second degree trespass
  • Charity Ann Johnston, 52, was arrested Feb. 13 on Westmoreland Road at Statesville Road, charged with driving while impaired
  • James Albert McClellan, 23, was arrested Feb. 14 on West Catawba Avenue, charged with misdemeanor conspiracy, larceny and possession of stolen goods/property
  • Lequasha Shimonae Harrison, 23, was arrested Feb. 14 on West Catawba Avenue, charged with misdemeanor conspiracy and larceny.
