Soggy, Chilly Forecast: Here’s When Rain Will Hit Lake Norman
Rain and gusty winds are headed back our way, according to the National Weather Service. Here's what you can expect going into the weekend.
CORNELIUS, NC — Rain and gusty winds are headed back to the Lake Norman area, according to the National Weather Service, which says conditions will begin to turn soggy Thursday evening.
Rain is expected overnight Thursday into Friday, when temperatures will top out in the high 40s. Friday night could see wind gusts of up to 18 mph. The chance of precipitation tapers off by Saturday, which will also be a windy day, forecasters said. Conditions are expected to clear up by Saturday evening.
Saturday evening will be a brisk one, however. The low will plummet to 34, NWS said.

Rain likely, mainly after 3am. Patchy fog after midnight. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 37. North wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

A 50 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high near 49. North northeast wind 6 to 8 mph. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
