Suspects Wanted For Passing Counterfeit Bills In Cornelius: CPD

The two men passed the counterfeit bills at businesses in The Shops at the Fresh Market shopping center Monday, CPD said.

CORNELIUS, NC — Cornelius police are asking for the community's help identifying two men they say were involved in passing counterfeit currency at Cornelius businesses Monday.

The suspects used the counterfeit bills May 24 at businesses in The Shops at the Fresh Market shopping center, located at 20601 Torrence Chapel Road in Cornelius, according to police.

"The first suspect is described as a tall, thin black male subject wearing a black ball cap, black shirt, black shorts and red and white tennis shoes," Cornelius Police Department said. "The second suspect is described as a heavier set black male subject wearing a white shirt and blue jeans."
