These 5 Cornelius Businesses Reported Larcenies, Break-Ins

Cornelius police made nine arrests this week. Here's a rundown of crime around town.

CORNELIUS, NC — Nine people were arrested this week in Cornelius, including one man who attempted to run from officers in a vehicle.

Several businesses around town also reported crime. Home Depot, Food Lion and Publix all reported thefts, and Wyattworks Plumbing and Tuscan House reported break-ins, Cornelius Police Department said.

CPD also issued dozens of citations, many of which were for charges including speeding, and expired tags and registration, according to the police blotter.

Arrests made by Cornelius Police Department between March 31 - April 6, 2021:

  • James Clifton Everhart, 35, was arrested March 31 on Westmoreland Road, charged with driving while impaired
  • Landon Reece Jones, 18, was arrested April 1 on Catawba Avenue, charged with misdemeanor larceny, and receiving stolen goods and property
  • Christopher Heath Robinson, 30, was arrested April 4 on West Catawba Avenue, charged with DWLR Impaired Revoked
  • Trevor Wallace Toothman, 24, was arrested April 4 on Bethel Church Road, charged DWLR Impaired Revoked
  • Reuben James Ramirez-Gonzalez, 39, was arrested April 5 on Nautique Boulevard, charged with DWLR Not Impaired Revoked
  • Jerron Jevar Grimball, 44, was arrested April 6 on Center Street, charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
  • James Christopher Glinski, 35, was arrested April 6 on Kenton Drive, charged with felony flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor resisting public officer
  • Michael Anthony Watkins, 54, was arrested April 6 on Kenton Drive, charged with felony break or enter motor vehicle; felony larceny; financial card fraud and felony first-degree burglary
  • Richard Eugene Graham, 44, was arrested April 6 on S Hill Street, charged with misdemeanor communicating threats
