A Weekend of Fun Events Ahead in Fayetteville and Fort Bragg

Shopping, Owls, and Festivals, it's happening this weekend.

Festival of Yesteryear: 10am-5pm, Regency Ball: 6p.m. to 9p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex. Includes historical activities, childrens' crafts, music and dancing.

Fort Bragg's Smith Lake Recreation Program is educating youngsters on owls. The event, includes meeting an actual bird of the feather on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 10a.m. to 11a.m.

The Downtown Alliance is sponsoring the annual sidewalk sale on Saturday, Sept. 7. More than 30 stores and vendors will set up on the sidewalk to celebrate Lafayette's Birthday. French wine, French coffee, French jewelry,French Farmers Market, French fries, French cheese, French art, French sales. Vive Lafayette!

Hometown Heroes Open Judo Tournament  on Saturday, Sept. 7, Kiwanis Recreation Center, Honeycutt Park at 352 Devers St., Registration runs from 7am-10am, FREE

Kata will start first, followed by Shiai (Fighting)

The Crown Center hosts Hot Rods &  High Heels. 2nd Annual Hot Rods 2 High Heels at the Crown Arena, September 7, 2013 from 10am - 6pm for $5. For the women this Expo is a little slice of boutique heaven with luxuries and indulgences for stylish gals and moms. For the guys there will be exhibitors showcasing toys for boys, technology, tools, demonstrations, cars and much more. There will be a CAR SHOW and a FASHION SHOW. Car Show starts at 12pm - 4pm.
