Advisory: Woodlands Neighborhood Vehicles Left Unsecured Broken Into

The Fayetteville Police report that during the latter portion of July and into the first half of August, an officer for the Woodlands subdivision noticed a trend in which several reports were being received of motor vehicle breaking and entering offenses.

The majority of the crimes involved a vehicle that had been left unsecured, which allowed the suspect to enter the vehicle without detection and steal various items during the hours of darkness.

The Fayetteville Police Department would encourage all citizens to secure their vehicles in an effort to prevent the theft and/or breaking and entering of their property. If you observe anything that appears to be suspicious in nature regarding persons and/or activity during the hours of darkness, please call 911 so that an officer can respond and investigate the activity.
